Thanks for visiting!
I grew up in a small town in Indiana—a little dot on the map—with cornfields, horses, and cows as our view. Since we didn't actually own any of those animals, I had to find excitement another way: through books. Reading was my window the world.
Over the years, my husband and I have called many great places home—Washington, D.C., Virginia Beach, Chicago, Atlanta, and Detroit, among others. Each place offered a glimpse into new worlds and the chance to meet fascinating people.
As much as I love exploring, I’m a nester at heart and appreciate being part of a community where I can greet my neighbors by name. These days, I divide my time between the suburbs of Detroit and Northern Michigan—writing, researching, editing, and spending time with my family (and our very fluffy dog).

I'm a traditionally published author and a NCHMA Certified Market Analyst, contracting with firms throughout the affordable housing industry.
I love translating data and insights into solutions that meet the end-user's needs. My work lets me write, read, analyze, and edit--activities that I truly enjoy.
Outside of my professional life, I serve as a board member of MAPS (Mullett Lake Area Preservation Society), an organization that promotes practical lake management to protect and preserve the natural character and water quality of Mullett Lake and its surrounding watershed.
Before consulting, I was a territory manager for a leading medical company in wound care sales and a key account manager for a global-branded food company. My sales background still impacts everything I do--success happens when the product meets a need.
I'm a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and published with a traditional publisher in educational non-fiction. I earned my BS in Economics from Purdue University.

Fun might be a stretch, but I enjoy the challenge of taking a mountain of data, graphs, and facts and arranging the pieces to create a compelling narrative.
Do 30,000, 3,000,000, or 3,000 matter? Not really. But if they caught your attention and kept you reading--goal achieved!
My goal is always the same: engage the reader.
Keep the stakeholder turning the page or scrolling -- and that's a win!
